One of the country's most outstanding wilderness area. It is the second largest National Park.

It is an important breeding ground for both migratory bird and fish species especially Tilapia and Nile perch.

Originally a Game Reserve of 800 sq. km Rumanyika-Karagwe was gazetted as a National Park in July 2019

The Park has remarkable attractions with large groups of Elephants, spectacular natural beauty of savanna landscape.
